About Me.
I'm Kat, and I'm the face behind Yoga by the Sea! I found yoga and the healing power of nature 15 years ago when I moved up from a busy life as a fashion designer in London. Back then, I was juggling kids, work, and travelling, and it all felt a bit too much. I knew I needed a change, and my values had to shift towards prioritising my well-being.
That's when I decided to move to Whitley Bay, next to the sea, and began practicing yoga with teacher Louise Smith at the Coast. I also discovered that being around the sea, whether walking, cycling, or swimming, was incredibly calming and healing.
My mission is to help others discover the benefits of yoga, meditation, and relaxation in and around nature. I know it's not easy to find a moment to reset amidst the stress and chaos of busy lives, but it's essential for our physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
